Dr. Michele Helfgott

Meet Dr. Helfgott
Michele has a vision and passion for providing women with a complete approach to their health and well-being. She also understands that many women are often time and energy-deprived, so their own health is frequently the last thing on their to-do list. This is what inspired her to found Elite Woman.

Michele grew up in Long Island, New York. She knew she wanted to be a physician when she dissected a pig in anatomy lab! In her personal time, she loves browsing the bookstore, reading, working out, watching Food Network and spending time with her husband, Rodney.

More About Janet:
Janet believes in the strength of women and the importance of total wellness. Her passion is assisting others in their life journey. She knows that women often are so busy caring for others that they forget to take care of self. When flying on an airplane they tell you in the event of an emergency put your oxygen mask on first and then you can assist others. Janet believes in helping women to put their oxygen mask on first. Janet grew up in Washington State. She has also lived in Idaho, Minnesota, Tennessee and West Virginia. Living in different areas in the country has helped fuel her interest in helping others. Janet believes that some professions we choose and sometimes the profession chooses us.

More About Katie:
Katie is an Exercise Physiologist and currently the program coordinator for a local Cardiopulmonary Rehab and Wellness Center. She has enjoyed a career in the health and wellness industry over the past 10 years. Her passion lies in the “power of exercise.” Katie’s goal is to have her patient’s and client’s enjoy and establish regular exercise so they can start reaping the benefits, physically, medically and mentally.

Katie was born and raised in Fort Wayne and after graduating from Indiana University in 2001 she has returned to her hometown to start her career and family. She is the proud mother of two boys. When away from work she enjoys, time with family and friends, working out, enjoying the outdoors, and traveling.

Emily Prokop
Fitness Specialist

More About Emily:
Emily graduated from Wheaton College in 2006 with a B.S. in Kinesiology. She is a certified Strength and Conditioning specialist and is passionate about health and fitness. After working at Spiece Fitness in 2006-2007, Emily worked for two Sport Ministries: SportQuest and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, where she enjoyed combining her two passions of athletics and her faith in Jesus Christ. Emily has always dreamed of having a training facility of her own. Building clientele has hardly ever felt like work. “Meeting people and helping them reach their fitness goal is so rewarding and a ton of fun!”

Emily was recently married to her husband Dan Prokop and is enjoying life as a newlywed! After living in Indianapolis, she and her husband have moved home to Fort Wayne where they enjoy spending time with friends and family, being active and cooking together.
